Zach joined the Firm in 2025. In 2012, Zach graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse Law School and accepted a position at the Utica Corporation Counsel’s Office. Zach worked at the Utica Corporation Counsel’s Office where he was promoted to First Assistant Corporation Counsel until the time he accepted employment with the Firm. When he was the First Assistant he was in charge of all litigation for the City which, on average, received between 100 to 200 cases per year. Consequently, during his tenure running more than a decade with the Corporation Counsel’s office, Zach successfully litigated all types of cases varying from basic personal injury all the way up to wrongful death federal civil right actions for Police Officer involved shootings.

Presently, Zach focuses his practice on civil litigation which spans a vast number of practice areas to include personal injury, civil rights, professional licensure defense, commercial, employment, labor, land use, municipal litigation, jury trial and appellate practice. In addition to litigation, Zach also provides employment consulting services to both public and private sector employers, advises various law enforcement agencies/chiefs, and investigates civil administrative complaints (e.g. claims of sexual harassment in the workplace in the civilian context, or of police officer excessive force in the law enforcement context). In short, there isn’t a type of case that Zach hasn’t seen before.

As for professional associations, starting at the federal level, Zach is Vice President of the Northern District of New York Federal Court Bar Association. In addition, he serves as a Co-Chair on the Local Rules committee for the Federal Court Bar Association, which publishes an annual letter on proposed rule changes for the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. As for the county level, Zach is a member of the Oneida County Bar Association and serves on their Judiciary Committee which reviews candidates for judicial office and recommends to the County Bar Association which candidates should be endorsed.

In his spare time Zach enjoys hunting, fishing and downhill skiing which upstate New York provides great opportunities for. He also serves as Vice President of Leadership and Governance for the Leatherstocking Boy Scouts Council.
